The Select-Fire M&P 2.0 Builders Kit is a three-piece prototype assembly designed to provide two selectable operating modes:
Standard semiautomatic operation
Forced-reset semiautomatic operation
Both settings are intended to remain semiautomatic, requiring a separate function of the trigger for every round fired. This product is not designed or intended to provide fully automatic fire and is not a machine-gun conversion device.
Three-Piece 316 Stainless Steel Construction
Each builders kit contains:
Housing
Trip arm
Selector lever
All three components are cast from 316 stainless steel. Because these are cast components rather than finished CNC-machined parts, the surfaces will have a naturally textured, slightly gritty appearance.
This is a builders kit, not a finished drop-in assembly. Hand polishing, finishing, fitting, and proper function testing will be required before use. When correctly finished by a knowledgeable and qualified individual, the components can achieve a much smoother, CNC-like operating surface.
Only a minimal amount of material should be removed during finishing. Excessive polishing, grinding, drilling, or alteration may permanently damage the components, create an unsafe condition, or prevent the assembly from operating correctly. Professional gunsmith installation and inspection are strongly recommended.
Pinning Provision (accepts 1x8mm roll pins/spring pins)
The housing includes provisions that allow the three components to be permanently pinned together, ensuring they remain securely assembled during installation, removal, and operation.
The required retaining roll pins are not included.
Because the components are cast, the retaining holes may contain casting residue or dimensional variation and must be professionally inspected and properly prepared before pins are installed. Do not force an improperly sized pin into the assembly.

Compatibility can vary between individual firearms, generations, component tolerances, aftermarket trigger assemblies, and previous modifications. Additional professional fitting or supporting components may be required.
Important Product Distinction
This three-piece cast builders kit is not the same product as the upcoming CNC-manufactured Not a Switch model.
The future Not a Switch model will be a separate four-piece CNC-machined design. Components from the two products should not be assumed to be interchangeable.
