M&P® 2.0 forced reset device The M&P® 2.0 Device is a forced-reset style component designed specifically for the Smith & Wesson® M&P® 2.0 platform. This unit installs at the rear of the slide, replacing the factory backplate for straightforward installation and removal. In the event the forced reset function does not engage, the pistol will continue to operate in standard semi-automatic mode. ⚠️ Important: This device disables the factory striker safety plunger. Use at your own risk. Material & Finish: Manufactured from 316 stainless steel Supplied in a raw, unfinished state Tuning, polishing, and fitting are required for proper function These are not drop-in parts Final fitment will vary by pistol, frame, and component tolerances Compatibility Works with: Smith & Wesson® M&P® 2.0 9mm / 10mm / .40 S&W / .45 ACP Full Size, Compact, Subcompact Metal Frame, Performance Center, and Thumb Safety models Does NOT work with: M&P® 1.0 Shield, SD, or Bodyguard models Apex Forward Set Sear Actuator Installation & Tuning Notes Fitting is required for best performance "Slight rounding of an edge on the trigger bar is recommended A 4 lb striker spring is recommended A heavier recoil spring is recommended only if reset issues occur Most clean, properly lubricated pistols run with the factory recoil spring .45 ACP and 10mm models typically require a 22–24 lb recoil spring Warning & Liability Disclaimer: By purchasing or using this product, the user accepts full responsibility for proper installation, tuning, function testing, and safe operation.
