The small, medium, and large designations refer specifically to the size of the raised hump on each disconnector—not the overall size of the component. Because tolerances vary considerably among 1911 and 2011 models, no single disconnector profile can be guaranteed to work with every firearm.
Manufacturing and Finish
These components are plasma-cut from 316 stainless steel. The cutting process may leave minor dross, edge roughness, or surface imperfections that require polishing or finishing before installation.
